How Can dull Scrotum Pain Be Treated?

When I sit down I get a dull ache in my scrotum area. I m wondering if I have an Indirect Inguinal Hernia or a case of Epididymitis or something else? Background: I purchased a new slantboard in Dec 2016 with a more radical incline than the one it replaced which I had for 20 years. I think I really started feeling the discomfort back in early January. Back in Dec my Cardiologist per my request, did a DRE and found that I had an inflammation of the Prostate Gland and put me on a 10day course of antibiotics. I am a Heart Failure Patient who takes all the standard drugs for this problem including Digoxin, Metoprolol Succinate ,Ranexa, Clopidogrel, Losartan, Atorvastatin, Baby Aspirin and Bumetanide. I also take Levothyroxine.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It can be an epididymitis.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists you can consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound Doppler.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
